Polina is an illustrator and children’s book author based in Belgrade. She creates warm, character-driven illustrations for children’s books and educational projects, combining traditional media (gouache, pencil, hand-made textures) with digital finishing and paper-cut elements. She loves expressive shapes, unexpected color choices, tactile details, and a handcrafted feel.

Polina is especially drawn to character development and exploring emotions through storytelling. Her book ideas often begin with everyday moments—observing small details of life and imagining what a character (human or animal) might be feeling in that exact moment.
